In keeping with best practice as well as current legislation Mposto has a specific policy on privacy. The privacy of customers, and all data collected by Mposto is treated in accordance with this policy as detailed below.

Data Protection Act
Mposto operates an e-business which depends upon constant data transmission, but we are conscious of our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. When you supply any personal information to Mposto, Mposto will respect its legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that data. We do this by trying to collect the information openly and clearly explain what it is for and how we will use it. Please look for explanatory notices on the relevant web pages. We will never collect data unnecessarily, nor keep it for longer than is necessary. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely. In general, any information which you provide to Mposto will only be used within the company and by its service providers. It will never be supplied to anyone outside the company without your consent, unless obliged to and permitted by law to disclose it.

Individuals have a right under the DPA to have a copy of the information held about them on computer. If we do receive an access request then we will deal with it promptly and in any case within 40 days of the date of receiving it. We will send the individual a copy of the personal information we hold. A £5.00 fee will be charged for responding to such requests to cover our administration costs. We will expect this payment to be made in advance. We will reveal data held on our files, if asked, only to the person about whom the data is held. Requests are received and responded to by post. Visitor Information and the EC Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations (2003).
This policy on visitor information complies with the EC Directive and UK Implementing Regulations are designed to supplement the existing EU and UK legislation on privacy and data protection, in particular the Data Protection Act 1998 (see above), by dealing specifically with the use of cookies as well as preventing unsolicited emails to non-business users (spam). During the course of a visit to the Mposto site, you may be invited to download pages and run small programmes (applets and cookies) which will allow your browser to view all of the information contained, and do other useful things like allow us to understand whether or not your computer has visited the Mposto site before. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their site in order to track traffic flows and similarly this information will help us to analyse the profile of our visitors. Mposto does not sell-on information about clients or visitors to its web-site to third parties. However, in order to provide investors and stakeholders with information about the success of Mpost Limited, Mposto logs visitor information and keeps it anonymously and for its own purposes. This non-personal statistical information about visits to pages on the site, the duration of individual page view, paths taken by visitors through the site, and other general information is used by Mposto to help it improve services to users. However, please note that if you wish to reject cookies you can do so using the disablement feature of your browser. Mposto follows the EC Directive by making sure that emails are not sent unless part of proper and necessary communication with customers. Private customers will not receive direct email marketing from us unless they have specifically requested to hear from ourselves or our sponsors by ticking the appropriate request box. Young users
If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the website. If young people do not have this consent then they are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
